The elegant square living room with high ceilings and a wood burning fireplace holds a lifetime of books. A south facing double window seat is a favorite perch to a beautiful tree-lined street view. A washer-dryer was added to the bath, also with a skylight. Farrow and Ball paint was used throughout apartment. Full stairs were added to reach their private roof terrace.

Outdoors has been a long labor and a great pleasure. A secret garden of flowers, shrubs and trees evolved along with two decked seating areas, cushioned benches, trellises for shade, and potted herbs lining the walkway to the grill. Under an umbrella, a well-weathered table and chairs has seen many a pitcher of mint and green tea by day - and martinis at night. Sunsets are spectacular. Perfect for entertaining friends; weddings, bridal and baby showers have all been hosted here. No need for a summer place in the Hamptons; this paradise comes without beach traffic.
